Retirement community names new executive director

The Las Ventanas retirement community has named Dennis Gradillas executive director.

“Dennis’ skills will greatly benefit Las Ventanas,” said Jeff Glaze, senior vice president and chief operations manager of American Baptist Homes of the West, the nonprofit that operates Las Ventanas. “I am excited about the leadership and resident services acumen he brings to further enhance the already strong resident and employee satisfaction at Las Ventanas. He is a great addition to our team.”

Born and raised in Las Vegas, Gradillas graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a bachelor’s degree in hotel management. He also has a master’s degree in business administration. Gradillas served as general manager for the Platinum Hotel in Las Vegas.

Gradillas serves on three advisory boards and stays involved with UNLV as a guest lecturer and president of the Harrah Hotel College Alumni Chapter.

Las Ventanas is in Summerlin and is Nevada’s only continuing care retirement community.
