99 Words About … The future of Fox’s ‘Fringe’

Trying to explain the bouncing-between-universes “Fringe” (9 p.m. Fridays, KVVU-TV, Channel 5) is like trying to explain the Kardashians.

Either endeavor will leave your brain twisted like cherry stems in the mouths of dirty girls in bad movies.

But the same what-the-(expletive)? trippiness that makes “Fringe” awesome may ultimately kill it.

Ratings are down. Fox says it’s losing money. Cancellation alarms are blaring.

While it’s hopefully just a bargaining ploy, it never hurts to show some love.

Talk, tweet, head to iTunes, and the cult favorite just might see another season.

As “Fringe” has shown, stranger things could happen.
