EVENTS

Reformation Lutheran Church, 580 E. St. Louis Ave., “New Beginnings” series will continue at noon Wednesday with a discussion on “Christian Basics — God the Spirit.” A light meal will be served following the event (732-2052).

The Presbyterian Women’s Rummage Sale will be 8 a.m.-noon today at First Presbyterian Church, 1515 W. Charleston Blvd. Proceeds will help support mission projects (384-4554).

The Nevada Desert Experience will host its 30th annual Lenten Desert Experience Peace Walks through April 6 at various locations. A welcome and orientation will take place 2-6 p.m. March 31 at the Nevada Desert Experience and Pace e Bene Offices, 1420 W. Bartlett Ave. On April 1, a peace walk will begin with a blessing at 8:30 a.m. at the National Atomic Testing Museum, 755 E. Flamingo Road. Shadow Hills Baptist Church Music and Creative Ministries will present “To the King: A Night of Worship and Easter Celebration” at 7 p.m. April 4-6 at 7811 Vegas Drive. Admission is free (880-7811).

Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 6220 N. Jones Blvd., will host a community Easter egg hunt and safety fair 10 a.m.-1 p.m. April 7 (645-5229).

The Rock Christian Church will host its fourth annual “rock hunt” at 9 a.m. Easter Sunday, April 8, on the front lawn of Steele Elementary School, 6995 W. Eldorado Lane. The event is for children up to fifth grade. Prizes will be awarded for the rocks redeemed. A free breakfast will be served to parents of children participating in the hunt. SERVICES

Congregation P’nai Tikvah will host a Passover Seder Survival Class at 10 a.m. April 1 in Summerlin. For reservations and location, call 436-4900. A Passover Seder will be at 6 p.m. April 7 in the Blasco Event Wing of the UNLV Foundation Building on the southwest corner of Maryland Parkway and Cottage Grove Avenue. Tickets are $25-$50 for nonmembers and $18-$36 for members; free for ages 4 and younger. Reservations are required (436-4900).

Trinity Lutheran Church at the Aliante Community Center, 7390 Aliante Parkway, North Las Vegas, will offer the following Easter services: Palm Sunday at 9 a.m. April 1; Maundy Thursday at 7 p.m. April 5; Good Friday at 7 p.m. April 6; and Easter Sunday at 9 a.m. April 8 (966-9797).

Summerlin Lutheran Church, 1911 Pueblo Vista Drive, will offer a Good Friday service at 7 p.m. April 6, and Easter Sunday services at 8 and 10:30 a.m. April 8, with breakfast between services (254-8431).

Palm Eastern Mortuary and Cemetery, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., will have its 27th annual interdenominational Easter Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m. April 8. The service will also feature music by the Desert Chorale, a complimentary continental breakfast, dove release and the Easter Bunny (464-8500).

MEETINGS

The Las Vegas Lay Dominicans will have an inquiry meeting at 9:30 a.m. today, followed by their monthly meeting with prayer, formation activities and a Communion service, 10:30 a.m.-noon at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Newman Community, 4765 Brussels St.

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Las Vegas/Henderson Gathering will feature a discussion by Craig Rock on “Social Justice — Combining Spirituality with Action” at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Yosemite Room at Sun City MacDonald Ranch Community Center, 2020 W.
