Snap up macarons before craze hits

Those who are fond of imagining they have crystal balls are telling us that the Next Big Thing — the new cupcake, as it were — will be the macaron. Not to be confused with macaroons, macarons are meringue-based wafers sandwiched around a cream or jam filling.
