Authorities aid woman hiker injured in fall at Red Rock Canyon

Authorities were tending to a woman who fell Monday while hiking at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.

Las Vegas police said initial reports were that a woman fell about 9:30 a.m. while hiking the La Madre Spring Trail.

Police said the woman was pinned between two rocks. Her injuries were unclear, although police said she was reportedly conscious. Police didn’t know how far the woman fell.

The Police Department’s search and rescue team was deployed.

Clark County firefighters were also at the scene.
