BIG DOG’S BREWING COMPANY DEBUTS REBEL RED BEER
Big Dog’s Brewing Company, 4547 N. Rancho Drive, recently debuted Rebel Red, a red ale, now available on tap at bars and restaurants in the Las Vegas Valley, including the Big Dog’s Cafe and Casino at 6390 W. Sahara Ave.
The seasonal craft brew marks Big Dog’s first foray into selling beer outside its brewpubs.

SHARE OUR STRENGTH’S TASTE OF THE NATION SET FOR MAY 17 AT THE PALMS
Share Our Strength plans to host its 20th annual Taste of the Nation fundraising event from 7 to 9:30 p.m. May 17 at Rain Nightclub in the Palms, 4321 W. Flamingo Road.
A VIP champagne reception is planned for 6 p.m. The event will help raise funds to support SOS’s efforts to end childhood hunger in the Las Vegas Valley and across the nation.
More than 35 of the city’s chefs and restaurants plan to participate, including chef Carlos Guía of Wynn Las Vegas’ The Country Club —- A New American Steakhouse, Taste of the Nation chairman; Fleur by Hubert Keller, Alizé at The Top of The Palms, Society Café at Wynn Las Vegas, Scarpetta at the Cosmopolitan, N9NE Steakhouse and Nove Italiano at the Palms, Sushi Roku at The Forum Shops at Caesars and Tao/Lavo at The Venetian and Palazzo.
In addition to food and drinks, a silent auction and live auction are planned. Area charities that will benefit from this year’s event are Three Square food bank, Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada, UNCE Chefs for Kids and Project MANA.
Tickets are $100 for general admission and $125 for VIP, which includes the reception, eary entrance to the event and a gift bag.

VIA BRASIL STEAKHOUSE PLANS EASTER BRUNCH
Via Brasil Steakhouse, 1225 S. Fort Apache Road, plans to offer an Easter brunch from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. April 8.
Along with the rodizio brunch with six meats and gourmet salad bar, made-to-order omelets also will be available for $27.99.

Tivoli Village, 440 S. Rampart Blvd., plans to host a new weekly farmers market in conjunction with the Fresh52 farmers market from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursdays beginning April 19.
The market is sponsored by Desert Companion and will feature fresh produce, libation tastings by Southern Wine & Spirits, local artists, live entertainment, and cooking tips and chef demonstrations, with a new chef and dish featured each week.

KABUKI PLANS FUNDRAISER FOR 10-YEAR-OLD WITH RARE CANCER
Kabuki Japanese restaurants at Tivoli Village, 400 S. Rampart Blvd., Suite 190, and Town Square Las Vegas, 6605 Las Vegas Blvd. South, No. 147, plan to donate $4 to the Strength for Jaxon fundraising campaign for every item sold from the kids menu Wednesday through April 3.
The fundraiser will help pay for medical treatment for 10-year-old Jaxon Piro of Summerlin, who is undergoing experimental treatments for anaplastic medulloblastoma, a rare and aggressive cancer that attacks the brain, at the Burzynski Clinic in Houston. The treatments are not covered by insurance.
YOSCREAM, LEONÉ CAFÉ offer PROMOTIONS AT TIVOLI VILLAGE
YoScream and Leoné Café, both at Tivoli Village, 400 S. Rampart Blvd., are offering dining promotions in March.

The three-course menu will be $34.95. A celebration cocktail, Blood Orange Fizz, will be available for $6.95.
The appetizer will be The Wedge salad or fresh fruit medley, followed by entree choices of filet mignon Benedict, New Orleans-style French toast, Fleming’s frittata or steakhouse filet mignon Cobb. Entrees will be served with potatoes O’Brien and sautéed green beans. Dessert choices will be white chocolate bread pudding, creme brulee or walnut turtle pie.
A children’s brunch menu will be available for $16.95 for those 12 or younger.

Marie Callender’s plans to offer whole take-home Easter meals starting at $99.99.
The Ham Feast features a honey-glazed, bone-in, spiral-cut ham with sides and a whole pie. The Brunch Feast has eight freshly baked muffins, two quiches, seasonal fruit and fresh whipped cream. Fogo de Chão Steakhouse plans to host a fundraiser for Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 5.
The evening is set to feature unlimited servings of 16 cuts of fire-roasted meats carved tableside, a gourmet salad bar, one glass of wine or one cocktail, unlimited nonalcoholic beverages and dessert.
The Southern Brazilian steakhouse plans to donate 100 percent of the proceeds from a charitable dinner to the organization. The cost is $50 per person and $25 for children 6 to 10.

Pizza Fusion plans to open an 1,800-square-foot location at 10345 S. Eastern Ave. this spring.
The restaurant plans to offer dine in, take out, delivery and catering. A three-course menu is planned for lunch and dinner, featuring fresh salads, appetizers, artisan pizzas, sandwiches and desserts. The menu features original recipes, such as pear and Gorgonzola, using only high-quality, all-natural and organic ingredients. Pizza selections include Italian classics and modern creations, and vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options.
