New 1 Oak lining up pop, electronic, hip-hop acts

Just like that, the musical outlook is upgraded at the new 1 Oak nightclub at The Mirage. I wrote last week that the music on New Year’s Eve weekend was meh, because it was.

But in addition to hosting upcoming celebrity red carpets, 1 Oak is lining up pop musicians, electronic and hip-hop acts to perform.

So tonight, Adam Levine of Maroon 5 sings at 1 Oak. On Jan. 20, Cobra Starship performs. And last night, Laidback Luke was on the schedule.

1 Oak still hasn’t released a long list of celebrity DJs and performers for January and February, as have their rivals such as XS, Marquee and Surrender.

But 1 Oak just opened, so it can be cut a break, especially since it has already signed up Fergie, Kanye, Laidback Luke and Levine.
