Cory Hendricks didn’t want to withdraw from TUF 23 — VIDEO

After suffering a severe neck injury, Cory Hendricks was forced to withdraw from The Ultimate Fighter competition.

Though he tried to battle through the pain and fight Josh Stansbury, he ultimately had to bow out. Hendricks was replaced by his teammate at Syndicate MMA who is also on the reality show, Khalil Rountree.

Rountree will get a second chance to vie for the UFC contract awarded to the winner at the end of the season. He was submitted by Hendricks in the first quarterfinal to take place this season.
