Bwin.party CEO to deliver keynote address at 2012 G2E
April 7, 2012 - 6:50 pm
Jim Ryan, co-chief executive officer of European online gaming giant Bwin.party Digital Entertainment, will deliver a keynote address at 2012 Global Gaming Expo.
The American Gaming Association and Reed Exhibitions produce the annual tradeshow and conference, which is scheduled for Oct. 1-4 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center.
Ryan’s address will take place in the afternoon on Oct. 3. He plans to address the growth in the global Internet gambling phenomenon and its future potential. His speech marks the prominence the G2E has given to Internet gaming.
Caesars Entertainment Corp. Chairman Gary Loveman and MGM Resorts International Chairman Jim Murren have given the previous two afternoon keynote addresses.
“As efforts to legalize and regulate Internet gambling in the United States advance and the global market continues to grow,” said American Gaming Association President Frank Fahrenkopf, Jr. “Jim is the ideal person to provide a comprehensive overview of this developing sector of the industry. His expertise, experience and success in Internet gambling are matched by few others.”
Bwin.party operates PartyPoker.com and the World Poker Tour. The company has separate agreements to operate online poker websites in Nevada with MGM Resorts and Boyd Gaming Corp. The companies will also operate online poker websites in the United States, should the federal government legalize the activity.
Ryan served as the CEO of PartyGaming prior to the 2011 merger of bwin Interactive Entertainment and PartyGaming.
