8 Ya Wanna Hug – Taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to maiden claiming; ran second for a $40K price tag before.
2 Tiz a Daisy – Showed some improvement last out, first for a price tag; contender only in a wide open affair.
Long Shot – 6 Missdang Sally
Race 2 – 6 furlongs, Purse $20,000, Claiming $12,500, Fillies, 3-year-olds
1 Real Dream – Claimed last time by Linda Mikus; key vote is Rafael Bejarano, leading rider, takes the call.
8 Tip Your Hat – Woodbine invader is sight unseen since last November; returns for Mike Mitchell, on regular organic dirt.
Long Shot – 4 Warren’s Morgan
Race 3 – 1 mile (turf), $100,000 Zuma Beach, 2-year-olds
4 Den’s Legacy – Bob Baffert continues on quite a roll this meet; first time turf, still has obvious strong pedigree.
2 Gervinho – Unusual Heat should enjoy the grass and stretch out in distance; among many who just earned their diploma.
Long Shot – 3 Buckleberry Grey
Race 4 – 6 furlongs, Purse $28,000, Starter allowance $40,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
6 Miss Lady Ellen – Speedy sort moves from the rail to a parking lot post; has speed to lead or stalk close up.
5 Oscillator – Favorite has outrun her odds in both career starts; needs a fast early pace to set her up.
Long Shot – 7 Toluca
Race 5 – 1 mile (turf), Purse $22,000, Claiming $25,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
9 Briteyednbushytail – She graduated for a $20K price tag, now slides down to $25K open; like that Garrett Gomez takes the call.
6 Budidinha – Tepid chalk is a dismal 0-for-11 on the grass; slow group, need not be much to compete tonight.
Long Shot – 1 Amazingly
Race 6 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $47,000, Maiden special weights, 3-year-olds and up
10 Candy’s Jewel – Been away 10 months, but he is from the maestro Jerry Hollendorfer; last seen showing improved talent.
8 Dylan Donnelly – Mike Mitchell barn has not done much in the past couple of months; been in the money five straight starts.
Long Shot – 1 Fit to Rule
Race 7 – 1 mile (turf), Purse $30,000, Claiming $25,000, Fillies and mare,s 3-year-olds and up
2 Ambitoness – Won first off the claim by Jeff Mullins; suspect can handle this small class rise.
9 Elegant – Has a productive turf resume where she fits like a glove today; parking lot post, but tactical good speed.
Long Shot – 6 Brooklyn Rose
Race 8 – 6 furlongs, Purse $50,000, Optional claiming 425,000, Cal-breds, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
9 Twelve Folds – Ran like a short horse in last off a 6-month hiatus; if she’s sharper today, she has a puncher’s chance..
2 First Class Flyer – Explosive MSW turf win in last at Betfair Hollywood Park; sight unseen for 3-months.
Long Shot – 12 Brilliant Melody
Race 9 – 1 mile (turf), $100,000 Surfer Girl, Fillies, 2-year-olds
1 Somethingabouther – Was privately purchased because she has turf potential; Jim Cassidy is a sneaky good trainer.
3 Upbeat Mood – Logical chalk faced many of these last time out; can flip a coin as there’s little difference amongst them.
Long Shot – 4 Wishing Gate
Race 10 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $23,000, Maiden claiming $30,000, Fillies, 2-year-olds
7 Strange Luck – This field is so slow, I picked 3 FTS; your edge will be seeing the tote board for activity.
10 Mind Your Biznes – Rafael Bejarano riding in a race this poor gets my attention; good barn too in Peter Eurton.
Long Shot – 1 Sultry Season
Best Bet – 4 Den’s Legacy (race 3)
