MUSIC

The music department of First Presbyterian Church of Las Vegas, 1515 W. Charleston Blvd., will have "Ceremonial Hymns: A Hymn Festival with Fanfares and Narration" at the 8:30 and 11 a.m. services on Sunday (384-4554).

The Music with a Mission Tour will visit Bible Valley Fellowship, 4500 W. Sahara Ave., at 6 p.m. Friday. Bands scheduled to perform include Family Focus 5, Da’ T.R.U.T.H., Willet and Disciple. General admission tickets are $20. Music with a Mission and CURE have partnered to save the lives of children in Uganda who are suffering from the brain condition hydrocephalus. Mountain View Presbyterian Church, 8601 Del Webb Blvd., will present a concert with Jeanne and the Speakeasy Swingers at 3 p.m. Oct. 28. Admission is free, although donations will be accepted (341-7800).

EVENTS

St. Sharbel Maronite Catholic Mission of Las Vegas will host its annual Lebanese American Festival from 4 to 11 p.m. today and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday on the mission’s grounds at 10325 Rancho Destino Road. The event will feature rides, games, food and other activities. Admission is $3; children younger than 12 are admitted free. Proceeds will benefit the mission’s community outreach programs and new school (616-6902).

Community Lutheran Church, 3720 E. Tropicana Ave., will have a fall festival and craft expo from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today. The event will feature arts and crafts, a cakewalk, silent auctions, children’s activities, food and drawings (458-2241).

First Christian Church of Las Vegas (Disciples of Christ), 101 S. Rancho Drive, will have its annual Oasis Fall Festival craft event, featuring handmade crafts, holiday items, jewelry, quilts, food and other items, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and 12:30 to 4 p.m. Sunday. The craft festival will include drawings, a farmers market, children’s games, a petting zoo, pony rides and other activities. Admission is free (384-1544).

Green Valley Presbyterian Church, 1798 Wigwam Parkway, Henderson, will have its annual Gingerbread Fair & Pantry from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today. The event will feature arts and crafts, holiday and fall decorations, baked goods and other items (454-8484).

University United Methodist Church, 4412 S. Maryland Parkway, will have a bake sale featuring homemade baked goods, Halloween arts and crafts, knitted and crocheted items, kitchen towel sets, jewelry and other items, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday (733-7157).

Christ Church Episcopal, 2000 S. Maryland Parkway, will have its 41st annual Lobster Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 20. The fair will feature arts and crafts, food, drawings, face painting, a fish pond for kids, entertainment and other activities. Admission is free. The youth group of Green Valley Presbyterian Church will have a swap meet and carwash from 7 a.m. to noon Oct. 20 at 1798 Wigwam Parkway, Henderson. Desert Spring United Methodist Church’s women’s group will have a holiday bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 20 at 120 N. Pavilion Center Drive. The bazaar will feature handcrafted items, handmade jewelry, knitted and crocheted accessories, quilts, holiday decorations, baby clothes, preserves and jellies, among other items (256-5933).

St. James the Apostle Catholic Church will have its annual Gospel Jazz Brunch and Silent Auction, featuring the Ink Spots, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 21 at the Suncoast, 9090 Alta Drive (648-6606).

Canyon Ridge Christian Church, 6200 W. Lone Mountain Road, will have a Kings Faire from 5 to 9 p.m. Oct. 26. The kid-friendly event will feature games, bounce houses, food and candy. CLASSES

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Las Vegas, 3616 E. Lake Mead Blvd., will offer a free class on the principles and history of its liberal religious tradition at noon Sunday (878-0443).

Reformation Lutheran Church, 580 E. St. Louis Ave., offers English as a Second Language conversational classes at 10 a.m. Tuesdays and Saturdays. Volunteers interested in teaching can call 541-1952 or 732-2052.

SINGLES GROUPS
