Las Vegas police looking for man who robbed cabby Sunday night

Las Vegas police seek the public’s assistance in finding a man who robbed a cabby Sunday night.

About 10:25 p.m., a black man between 25 and 35 years old, with a thin mustache, standing about 6 feet 2 inches tall, hailed a taxicab at Strip hotel-casino, police said.

The man asked to be taken to downtown Las Vegas and the cabdriver stopped at a business in the area of Fremont and 10th streets, police said. The man then robbed the cabdriver, causing him multiple significant injuries, and ran away, police said.

The suspect was last seen wearing a white shirt and light-colored shorts.
