CSN baseball sweeps Canadian squad

The College of Southern Nevada scored all five of its runs in the first two innings to complete a three-game sweep of Prairie Baseball Academy, beating the Canadian squad 5-2 on Tuesday night at Morse Stadium.
Morgan Stotts got the Coyotes going with an RBI fielder’s choice in the first inning, and Cory Welch capped a four-run second with a two-run double. Logan Comphel had an RBI single in the second, and Thomas Pannone scored on a throwing error.
CSN (12-5) sent a platoon of seven pitchers to the mound, with starter AJ Daley throwing two scoreless innings. The Coyotes piled up 13 strikeouts while allowing five hits and four walks.
