Coroner’s office identifies woman stabbed to death

A woman who was beaten and stabbed to death early Sunday has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.

Shanna Ralston, 44, was found bleeding at her apartment complex in the 6300 block of Greyhawk Avenue, near West Washington Avenue and North Torrey Pines Drive. She was taken to University Medical Center where she died, according to Las Vegas police. Her death has been deemed a homicide.

Nathan Benson, a suspect in the case, is being sought by police.

The initial police investigation indicates that Ralston and Benson had a physical altercation that led to the attack.

Benson, 27, is described as 5 feet 5 inches and about 130 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. He also has a tattoo of skulls on his upper right arm, and the numbers 702 on his upper left arm.
