Pitching prospect from Southern Nevada tests positive for banned substance

Top pitching prospect Aaron Blair, who went to Spring Valley High School, tested positive for the banned substance Adderall, according to a Baseball America report.

Blair, who is at Marshall, is listed by Baseball America as the No. 41 prospect for the Major League Baseball draft, which begins Thursday.

The publication, citing an unnamed source, said Blair’s positive test was the result of “a one-time indiscretion” and not likely to harm his draft status.
