San Gennaro Feast serving up pasta, pizza, more

The 34th annual San Gennaro Feast begins Tuesday in the Grand Canyon Shopping Center, 4245 Grand Canyon Drive. Traditional Italian food to be served at the feast will include pasta, calzones, pizza, Italian sausage, fried dough and fried calamari, and some foods of other cuisines will be offered as well.

The feast will include carnival rides, midway games, arts and craft booths and free entertainment, which will begin at 4 p.m. each day. Hours are from 4 to 11 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 4 p.m. to midnight Sept. 13, 11 a.m. to midnight Sept. 14 and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sept. 15. Don Vito’s Italian Restaurant and the Silverado Steak House at the South Point, 9777 Las Vegas Blvd. South, is celebrating the restaurants’ first Wine Spectator Awards of Excellence with special three-course wine-pairing menus, available through Sept. 30. At Don Vito’s, where the three-course dinner is $45, it features entree choices of seafood risotto, sauteed white sea bass, lamb chops or veal saltimbocca. At Silverado Steak House, where it’s $65, entree choices are filet of sole Veronique, steak Diane, tournedo of beef or loin of venison. …

Flavors of the Heart, a food- and wine-tasting benefit for the Las Vegas American Heart Association community outreach programs, is 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the World Market Center, 475 S.
