Teixeira drops Reno native Bader at UFC Fight Night 28

Glover Teixeira floored Reno native Ryan Bader with a combination of punches and followed him to the ground to finish him off with a flurry of shots late in the first round to solidify his spot as top contender in the light heavyweight division.

The quick finish capped a run of three straight first-round knockouts at the top of the card.

Top flyweight contender Joseph Benavidez knocked out Jussier Formiga and Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza made quick work of Yushin Okami

Also, the organization announced Chael Sonnen will fight former light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans at UFC 167 at the MGM Grand on Nov. 16.
