Smoke from wildfires prompts air quality advisory for valley

The Clark County Department of Air Quality has issued an advisory due to smoke from wildfires burning in Southern California and the Spring Mountains, which continues to affect Jean, the Las Vegas Valley and other parts of Clark County.

Smoke from the Carpenter 1 wildfire burning in the Spring Mountains drifted into Las Vegas last night.

The advisory will be in effect until tonight. Though the air looks bad, unhealthy levels of air pollution are not happening at this time.
