Photos: Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono Lennon celebrate 10 years of ‘Love’

There was much love going around Thursday night at The Mirage when THE BEATLES LOVE by Cirque du Soleil toasted 10 years of Strip headliner success, with Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr of The Beatles in attendance, along with Yoko Ono Lennon, the widow of The Beatles member John Lennon, also among the attendees.

It was an evening of peace, love and musical bliss as guests commemorated the 10th anniversary of LOVE. After its creative evolution, which included new acts, music, technology, video and choreography, the high-energy and colorful LOVE performed to an audience with a resounding standing ovation at the end of the 90-minute anniversary performance.

The house was packed with The Beatles fans, Cirque enthusiasts and celebrity friends, and there was no doubt that the standing ovation for the cast also was for McCartney, Starr, Ono Lennon and Harrison, who watched the show, with McCartney and Starr addressing the theater post-performance. The surviving members of The Beatles praised the production, with McCartney quipping that he could perform Cirque acrobatics, too.

The evening began with a star-studded red carpet outside the LOVE theater that included McCartney, Starr, Ono Lennon, Sean Lennon, Mira Sorvino, Josh Hutcherson, Ron Howard, Kevin Nealon, Chris Harrison, Cary Elwes, Kevin Dillon, Kristoff St. John, Ron White, Daniel Platzman and Ben McKee of Las Vegas band Imagine Dragons, Joe Walsh, Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, Dot Jones, Mark Foster of Foster the People, Chris Holmes, Nastia Liukin, Dominic Champagne, Giles Martin, Nappytabs and Cirque CEO Daniel Lamarre.

A post-performance party was held outdoors at the nearby Mirage pool. Our thanks to contributing photographer Tom Donoghue for his photo gallery.
