One person seriously hurt in westside crash

One person is in serious condition after two vehicles collided at the intersection of Fort Apache and Desert Inn roads Wednesday afternoon, Las Vegas police said.

Officers responded to the wreck about 2:45 p.m.

One person was transported to a local hospital in serious condition, but police said the injuries do not appear to be life threatening. No other injuries were reported.

Eastbound lanes of Desert Inn Road and northbound lanes of Fort Apache Road near the intersection are shut down while officers investigate the crash.
