99 Words About … The over-the-top nonsense of ‘Those Who Kill’
February 27, 2014 - 12:47 am
You know what would be really revolutionary?
A drama about ordinary cops solving mundane crimes.
“Those Who Kill” (10 p.m. Monday, A&E) follows a Pittsburgh homicide detective (Chloe Sevigny) hunting serial killers with a forensic psychologist (James D’Arcy).
She’s haunted by her brothers’ disappearance, thinks her stepfather is a murderer and lines her apartment with framed portraits of serial killers’ homes.
And she’s the normal one in the partnership.
Disturbing just for the sake of being disturbing, “Kill” is the sort of over-the-top nonsense that will make even edgier viewers long for the days of Andy, Barney and Mayberry.
