Rebels lose in 12th inning to New Mexico, 5-4

New Mexico scored twice in the 12th inning to defeat UNLV 5-4 Sunday in a Mountain West baseball game at Albuquerque.

The Rebels (10-4, 5-1 MW) had taken a 4-3 lead in the 12th, but reliever Joey Lauria allowed two runs — one earned — on two hits and two walks in the bottom half.

Joey Armstrong, T.J. White, Patrick Armstrong, Erik VanMeetren, Morgan Stotts and A.J. Hernandez all had two hits for UNLV, which had won six straight.
