New ‘Godzilla’ trailer features destroyed Las Vegas

The trailer for the upcoming summer blockbuster “Godzilla” was released Tuesday and it highlights destruction, including parts of Las Vegas.

Towards the beginning, much of the Strip is destroyed including Treasure Island, Paris, Flamingo, the Quad and New York-New York.

Aside from the giant monster, the film stars Andrew Taylor-Johnson (“Kick Ass”), who also plays Quicksilver in the upcoming “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” and Bryan Cranston, who recently wrapped up five seasons as Walter White on AMC’s “Breaking Bad.”

The trailer opens with Cranston, who plays Joe Brody, frustratingly narrating the destruction that is happening.

“You’re not fooling anybody when you say that what happened was a natural disaster,” says Cranston’s character. “You’re lying! It was not an earthquake, it wasn’t a typhoon, because what’s really happening is that you’re hiding something out there. And it is going to send us back to the Stone Age!”

The blockbuster is set to open May 16 and is not yet rated.
