High school student hit by car in North Las Vegas

A 15-year-old Cheyenne High School student was struck by a car at Hammer and Allen lanes about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, North Las Vegas police said.
The girl suffered a head injury, but it was not considered serious, police said. The girl was taken to University Medical Center for treatment for her wounds.
Police said the teenager was running across the intersection to catch a bus when the car hit her.
Both lanes were temporarily shut down.
