Gaming, Olympic officials on lookout for betting irregularities

The Gaming Control Board and the International Olympic Committee announced Tuesday the organizations will work together to ensure the integrity of the competition at the upcoming Sochi Winter Olympics in Russia.

In a statement, the regulatory agency and the IOC said they would “cooperate at all levels in order to preserve and protect the integrity of sports.”

To the extent allowed by law, the control board and the IOC agreed to exchange sports betting information.

Control Board member Shawn Reid said state regulators would watch for any irregular wagers that take place during the Olympics.
