Pedestrian injured after being hit by car

A man was hit by a car Sunday evening on the southeast side of the Las Vegas Valley, police said.

The man was crossing Pecos Road, near Flamingo Road, when he was struck by a white Ford vehicle at 5:45 p.m.

He was about 300 feet outside of a marked crosswalk, Las Vegas police lieutenant Ken Romane said.

He was taken to a hospital with injuries that were serious but not life-threatening as of 7:30 p.m.
