Traffic on U.S. 95 returns to normal after accident

A one-vehicle crash on northbound U.S. Highway 95 Thursday morning has been cleared and traffic is moving normally again.

Nevada Highway Patrol responded to the crash at U.S. 95 and Eastern Avenue about 6:45 a.m. The car was on the left shoulder, partially blocking the left lane, NHP trooper Loy Hixson said.

The driver was taken to University Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening. Traffic was backed up past the Boulder Highway exit. By 9 a.m. traffic was flowing smoothly again.
