Las Vegas police seek driver in northeast valley hit and run
Las Vegas police were looking for a white Ford Explorer in connection with a hit and run accident that left a pedestrian in critical condition Wednesday night, police said.
Barbara Schmidt, a watch commander for Metro, said the hit and run occurred about 8 p.m. in the northeast valley near the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard North and North Walnut Road.
A 35-year-old man was crossing Las Vegas Boulevard outside of a crosswalk when the driver of a northbound sport utility vehicle struck the pedestrian and then fled the scene, according to Las Vegas police. The pedestrian was taken to at University Medical Center.
The SUV, described as a white 2006 or 2007 Ford Explorer, would have sustained moderate damage to the right front-end and possibly to the undercarriage.
