Meg Ryan will voice the mom in the ‘How I Met Your Mother’ spinoff

The “How I Met Your Mother” spinoff is getting a little more defined.

Meg Ryan will voice future Sally, the main character in CBS’ “How I Met Your Dad.”

Her role will be the same as Bob Saget’s was in HIMYM, according to Time. She won’t likely make a cameo appearance in the series, but will narrate Sally’s story in the same way that Saget narrated Ted’s.

HIMYD will be told from a woman’s point of view and will revolve around a different group of friends in New York City.
