Part of U.S. 95 south at Eastern reopens after crash

A section of U.S. 95 southbound has reopened near the Eastern Avenue exit ramp after a tractor trailer crash disrupted traffic Wednesday afternoon, according to Nevada Highway Patrol.

The left and right lanes are closed, while the two middle lanes are open to traffic, NHP said.

Traffic continued moving slowly several hours after the crash.

The trailer tractor driver lost control and hit the median about 4:15 p.m., NHP said.

One of the truck’s fuel tanks ruptured and diesel fuel leaked onto the highway, according to Las Vegas Fire Department Tim Szymanski. The fire department fixed the leak.

No one was hurt, NHP said.
