215 Beltway reopens after vehicle fire

All westbound lanes of the southern 215 Beltway near Eastern Avenue have reopened after a car fire Saturday night, according to the Regional Transportation Commission.

Nevada Highway Patrol trooper Loy Hixson said the car struck the wall before catching fire. The fire was contained to the front of the vehicle.

The male driver was the only occupant in the car, but his injuries were not immediately available.

The highway was closed starting about 6:51 p.m. for about 30 minutes.
