Multiple accidents causing morning traffic delays

The valley freeways saw a series of crashes during early Monday morning’s rainy weather.

The Regional Transportation Commission reported multiple lane closures from different accidents starting about 6 a.m. It wasn’t until about 9 a.m. that the freeways began to clear.

Details on the separate accidents weren’t immediately released, but an accident on Interstate 15 northbound on Flamingo Road was blocking right lanes. Another accident headed southbound before Flamingo Road had the left lanes blocked. A right lane on southbound U.S. Highway 95 before Eastern was also blocked off.

A traffic monitoring site reported a jackknifed semi-trailer on northbound I-15 near Spring Mountain Road that blocked two right lanes. No injuries were reported as of 10 a.m.

Nevada Highway Patrol reported several accidents along the 215 Beltway, though none appeared to cause too much traffic congestion.
