UNLV women’s golfer Finkelstein captures medalist honors in New Mexico

UNLV senior Dana Finkelstein shot a 9-under-par 210, the second-lowest tournament score in school history, and won the Dick McGuire Invitational individual title Tuesday by three shots at Albuquerque, N.M.

Finkelstein’s final-round 70 helped the Rebels finish second, eight shots behind Northwestern, which had a three-day total of 8-under 868 in the 16-team field.

Finkelstein had a tournament-best 16 birdies in her 54-hole total en route to the third victory of her career.
