Pedestrian struck by vehicle on Sahara near Valley View

A pedestrian was hospitalized Monday after being struck by a car on Sahara Avenue near Valley View Boulevard, Las Vegas police said.

The pedestrian was taken to University Medical Center with injuries that do not appear life-threatening, police said.

It happened just before 1 p.m.
