LETTER: Dotty’s ruling amounts to dirty politics

To the editor:

Shame on Station Casinos and shame on Clark County’s commissioners. The ruling regarding Dotty’s is another example of dirty politics in action (“County commissioners approve rules affecting taverns with slots,” Dec. 3 Review-Journal).

I play at Dotty’s. It’s quiet, I’ve never seen anyone get out of line, and the employees are friendly. I can’t help but wonder how much it cost Station Casinos to get its way. This is what happens when the same people get elected to the same offices, over and over and over again. It’s too easy to end up in someone’s back pocket when the same person stays in office for too long.

Mom and Pop built this country, but corporations will destroy it. Greedy, aren’t they? I just cut up my Station player’s card, and I will never patronize another Station casino for any reason whatsoever.
