Tennessee Top Ten Most Wanted fugitive caught in Las Vegas

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A fugitive on the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Top Ten Most Wanted list has been captured in Nevada.

Officials say John O’Keefe Varner was apprehended in Las Vegas on Friday.

Varner crashed the vehicle he was driving when he attempted to evade marshals. He was arrested by deputies in Las Vegas following a foot chase.

Varner was wanted by the Manchester Police Department and the TBI for attempted first-degree murder.

He is being held in the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas on a $500,000 bond.
