Toddler riding motorcycle with dad hurt in crash, Las Vegas police say

Two people, including a toddler, were hurt Tuesday when the motorcycle they were on with a third passenger crashed, according to Las Vegas police.

A man was driving the motorcycle when it hit a pole about 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of Lake Mead and Hollywood boulevards, police said. His 2-year-old son and 18-year-old girlfriend both were riding with him.

The boy has severe road rash and internal bleeding, police said, and the driver has a broken leg. Both were taken to University Medical Center. The woman was not hurt.

Las Vegas police said their fatal detail is investigating the crash but that the father and son are expected to recover. Metro’s child abuse and neglect detectives also are looking into the crash.
