Wednesday should be Vegas’ last day of triple-digit temps this year
September 30, 2015 - 9:10 am
Las Vegas might tie the Sept. 30 record-high on Wednesday — then run right into fall.
Valley temperatures are “going for 101,” National Weather Service meteorologist Stan Czyzyk said Wednesday morning. That would tie the record set in 1978.
The rest of the work week will see temperatures in the low 90s.
The return of triple digits after Wednesday is “highly unlikely,” Czyzyk said.
Next week is forecast to bring temperatures in the low 80s, “maybe even cooler.”
And Sunday night into Monday morning, there will be a small potential for rain.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
