Ben Askren says ONE Championship weight-cutting changes have been “a long time coming”

After a 21-year-old fighter died from complications related to cutting weight for ONE Championship 35, the MMA promotion revamped their policies to more closely monitor how their fighters make weight. 
 
The organization’s welterweight title holder, Ben Askren, talked about how those changes could serve as a blueprint for athletic commissions that want to adopt similar guidelines.
