NV Energy opens Business Solutions Center for Las Vegas

CARSON CITY — NV Energy, operating as Nevada Power Co. in Southern Nevada, recently opened its Business Solutions Center.

Pat Egan, NV Energy senior vice president of customer operations, said agents in the new center have received additional training and are ready to handle what are often complex requests from the company’s small- to mid-size business customers.

While business customers represent 11 percent of NV Energy’s total customers, they make up about 30 percent of the more than 4 million calls received by NV Energy’s customer contact center each year. The biggest issues for businesses relate to billing and energy efficiency. The utility also receives a lot of landlord inquiries.

The Business Solutions Center will also offer value-added online services, including a complete set of communication tools, content resources and administrative assistance.

The Business Solutions Center is open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Customers may contact the NV Energy Business Solutions Center by calling 702-402-1000 in Southern Nevada or by emailing BusinessServices@NVEnergy.com.

“Specialized handling of business customers is good for everyone,” said Eagan. “Our Business Solutions Center is the next phase in improving NV Energy’s customer experience.”

NV Energy has significantly expanded service options for residential customers over the last year as well. Improvements include expanding to 24/7 call center operations, providing more comprehensive energy efficiency services and adding convenient technology features for customers, such as the addition of a mobile app, a weekly billing summary that helps customers anticipate and manage their monthly bills and automated billing and outage alerts.

NV Energy Inc. provides a wide range of energy services to 1.3 million customers throughout Nevada and about 41 million tourists annually.
