FashionTrend.Vegas hosts ‘Back-to-School Geek Chic’ event in Downtown Summerlin
Thank you, Las Vegans, for becoming “Geek Chic” for a day.
Thank you, Las Vegas families, for joining us and participating on our Back-to-School “Geek Chic” event at Downtown Summerlin in collaboration with Zappos and FashionTrend.Vegas.Featuring fashions from Lindberg, b.young, Macy’s, Hot Topic, Forever 21, among others, attendees enjoyed trends like plaid, bohemian chic, grunge, biker-inspired leather and statement accessories. In addition to the back-to-school fashion shows, trend segments were offered by FashionTrend.Vegas editor Maria Matta-Caro and host of Valley View Live, Zar Zanganeh.
Outfits were were discussed and dissected during the segments..As a special guest, Sophia Judice, 12-year-old fashion blogger, talked with the FashionTrend.Vegas staff about her blog, Tres Chic for the Week, her inspiration, style, favorite trends and even gave some recommendations for the friends and classmates.
“I get my inspiration from fashion magazines,” Judice said. “What I love about these new trends is that they bring up all the fashions from the ‘60s, ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s. You are able to work with everything. My recommendation to my classmates would be to have their own style and find what suits them best.”
Hosted in partnership with Zappos and FashionTrend.Vegas, the Back-to-School Downtown Summerlin “Geek Chic” event was a success, and attendees from all ages enjoyed the experiences and stations offered by the retailers and partners.Thank you, Las Vegas families, for being a part of this big fashion celebration.
