Angels fan catches Trout home run in fishing net — VIDEO

Talk about the catch of the day. A fan who brought a “Trout Net” to Angel Stadium on Sunday hooked a big one in the sixth inning, when Mike Trout hit a grand slam into the net to lead Los Angeles to a 13-7 win over the Texas Rangers.

For fisherman/Angels fan Jonathan Plaza, reeling in Trout’s second homer of the game and major league-leading 31st of the season was one of the highlights of his life.

“I just had a hunch that it was going to be a special moment, so I took out the net once Trout walked up to the plate,” Plaza said. “This is in the top two moments of my life after my baby was born.”
