JIMMY’S HALL: Jimmy Gralton (Barry Ward) reopens his popular dance hall during the worst of the Depression, a decade after it was closed after a series of violent protests, in this fact-based drama. At Village Square. (109 min.) PG-13; language and a scene of violence.
HEROES OF DIRT: A BMX dirt jumper (Joel Moody) reluctantly mentors a troubled teen (Will Martinez). At Orleans and Sam’s Town. (102 min.) PG-13; thematic material involving drugs, some violence and language.
