Las Vegas Valley warming up for the weekend

The Las Vegas Valley will warm up slightly through the weekend before rain and wind threaten early next week.

Friday’s high will be 68 degrees and the low, 46. Saturday’s and Sunday’s highs should be 66 and 68 degrees respectively, according to the National Weather Service.

The valley will see north to northeast winds near 10 to 15 mph Friday, but Las Vegas won’t see the worst of it. The Colorado River Valley will have winds between 30 and 40 mph with gusts higher than that, meteorologist Chad Shafer said.

The winds are expected to die down through the weekend and then pick up with higher chances of precipitation Monday and Tuesday.
