Vegas can expect quiet, calm weekend weather
November 21, 2015 - 10:12 am
The valley can expect a warm, calm weekend before temperatures dip again late in the week.
Saturday and Sunday should be “pretty quiet,” said National Weather Service meteorologist Caleb Steele.
Both weekend days have forecast high temperatures of 65 degrees, Steele said. Lows both nights should drop to 44 degrees.
Monday’s high will be a pleasant 67 degrees, and Tuesday should see temperatures reach 68, Steele said.
Winds are expected to pick up Wednesday, when high temperatures will drop 16 degrees to 52 in the afternoon. Wind speeds are forecast 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph, the Weather Service said.
The valley is expected to cool another 10 degrees by Thursday, Steele said.
“Thursday and Friday might not even get out of the 40s,” Steele said.
Temperatures will probably warm again slightly after the “big system” moves out of the valley, but Steele said it’s not clear when that will be. Nighttime lows will be in the mid 30s through the end of the week.
