Two VA directors plan town hall in North Las Vegas

Two directors from Veterans Affairs offices in the West will be available Monday at a town hall meeting in North Las Vegas for veterans to air their concerns regarding health care and disability claims issues.

VA Pacific District Director Jon Skelly and Veterans Benefits Administration Reno Regional Office Director Shelia Jackson will be special guests at the meeting, according to an advisory from the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System.

The meeting, open to military veterans and their families, is scheduled for 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the auditorium at the VA Medical Center, 6900 N. Pecos Road.

This will be the fourth in a series of forums the VA began in September 2014 after VA Secretary Robert McDonald required VA facilities nationwide to field veterans’ concerns at town hall meetings to restore trust in the agency in the wake of scandals that surfaced.
