Magny replaces injured Brown against Gastelum in Monterrey main event

UFC welterweight Matt Brown suffered an ankle injury and will be unable to fight Kelvin Gastelum in the main event of a card in Monterrey, Mexico, on Nov. 21.

News of the injury was reported by Fox Sports on Monday.

Neil Magny has agreed to step in for Brown to face Gastelum, UFC officials confirmed late Tuesday.

“Here I come to save the day,” Magny posted on Twitter.

Magny has won eight of his last nine fights, including a split decision over Erick Silva in August.

The event, which airs on Fox Sports 1, also features a featherweight bout between Ricardo Lamas and Diego Sanchez and a flyweight bout between Henry Cejudo and Jussier Formiga.
