Bomb threat forces evacuation of Regional Justice Center in Las Vegas

Updated November 8, 2021 - 11:18 am

The Regional Justice Center in Las Vegas was evacuated briefly Monday morning due to a bomb threat.

Metropolitan Police Department spokesman Larry Hadfield said police were called just before 10:10 a.m. to assist marshals after someone called in a bomb threat to the courthouse.

People were ordered to evacuate the courthouse, located at 200 Lewis Ave., at about 10:45 a.m. The building houses Clark County District Court and Las Vegas Justice Court.

The building was evacuated as a precaution, Metro said.

People were seen entering the building again about 11:45 a.m. Hadfield said officials did not find anything suspicious inside the courthouse.

Further information was not immediately available.
