A motorcyclist was killed Thursday afternoon in a crash in east Las Vegas, police said.

Police were called about 1:10 p.m. Thursday to a crash at Harmon and Eastern avenues, according to a statement from the Metropolitan Police Department.

Investigators believe the driver of a 2015 Toyota Camry attempted to turn left on a flashing yellow light, colliding with a 2002 Harley-Davidson.

The motorcycle rider, a 55-year-old man, was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center where he died, police said.

He will be identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.
