Light showers heading out of the valley

The Las Vegas Valley will begin to warm up and conditions will be mostly dry during Memorial Day, the National Weather Service said.

Morning temperatures could dip to 67 degrees and the high was projected to reach 88 degrees, meteorologist John Salmen said.

The valley could see a few showers overnight Monday and a “thunderstorm or two,” Salmen said. For the rest of the day, there may be some lingering clouds, but rain won’t be much of a concern.

The 82 degrees high temperature Sunday was 10 degrees below average for this time of year, Salmen said.
